Meishan Rolling Stock Works is located in the Meishan district of Sichuan province, known as "A Thousand-Year Poem City", not far from the world famous scenic Mount Emei and Leshan Giant Buddha, south to the Chengdu economic area, on the joints of Chengdu-Kunming railway and Chengdu-Leshan Expressway.It is a large leading State-owned enterprise, specially engaged in the manufacturing of railway freight cars, brakes for locomotives, passenger cars, and freight cars, as well as special and general purpose fittings for railway use. It has developed into diversified business fields, such as civil building materials, chemical industry, and tertiary industry.
    As a large leading enterprise in China's railway locomotive and rolling stock industry, Meishan Rolling Stock Works has 4,500 employees, of which, more than 1,400 are senior engineers or engineers and technicians, with a total assets of 100 million US dollars, land area of more than 1.3 million square meters, different kinds of advanced equipments of more than 2,200 sets.
